the other popular search engines, including Yahoo and MSN? I say

No motivation – Many individuals simply do not believe in
themselves. They don’t believe they can do it, so they have
no motivation. I will tell you right now, if you have the wrong
attitude and you are always thinking negative, you are not going
to succeed. With the right attitude and the right SEO tips, even
for those not so savvy computer people, you will get traffic to
your site.
Right now, I am probably not able to change the fact that you do
not have much time, but I am going to show you some methods that
are pretty easy to use. They are not too time consuming.
Basic Information on SEO
Before getting too involved in this book, I want to give you some
basic information on SEO. Search Engine Optimization is something
that has become pretty popular today.
Think of SEO as an art as you are tacking certain tasks and
applying them to your pages. When you draw a picture for a
contest, what are you doing? Of course, you’re trying to
make it stand out from the crowd. Through certain SEO techniques,
you will be able to make that site stand out from the crowd of
pages.
SEO is not only the best because it brings your site to the top,
but it is the best because it is the one technique that is free
to do. Once you know how to use this technique, then you will be
able to take advantage of them.
We need to take a look at the content that is on your webpage:
When you have completed your keyword research and you have
decided what niche you would like to create your articles under,
you will need to use the keywords you chose in the content you
write.
No matter what you do, do not over use that keyword. Yes, there
is a such thing as over using it and you should avoid it as the
search engines will look at you as if you are spamming them. A
good rule of the thumb would be to use those keywords anywhere
from two to six percent. This technique is known as Keyword
Density.
When you have finished your article, you should check the keyword
density of it. There are many tools online, such as DupeFree that
you will be able to use in order to determine that keyword
density.
Do Good on Your Content
When you are writing the content for your website, you should
make sure they are nothing more than high quality. If you are not

You should make sure you write that content so that your visitors
can read it and not just those search engines that will be
crawling your website. After all, who will be purchasing your

What do people want to see when they go to your site? They want
to see content that is well written. They do not want to read
content that they cannot understand. If they do this, then they
may never want to see your site again. If they could flush it
down the toilet, then they would…

There are some individuals out there that say you should
italicize your keywords in your content at least one or two
times. They also say that you should bold them. Personally, we do
not see any benefit to this trick. However, those SEO gurus out
there do it, so you might as well give it a try. Perhaps it is
done because it catches the eye of the readers?
Placing Keywords in Your Articles
When you are placing those keywords in your article, you need to
pay close attention to where you are placing those keywords. For
instance, you should mention the keywords in the first paragraph,
in the middle paragraph and again, in the last paragraph.
No matter what road you turn down, always make sure you produce
high quality content. That content should be worth reading!
The more words you write, the better that article will be.
However, if you are just rambling on, then you may want to end
it. Basically, you need to say what you have to say and put an
ending to it. If you are putting lots of fluff in there, then you
might as well not even bother writing an article.
When you write, it should be full of information and not fluffy
words.
If you are one step down from having good content on your
webpage, then those search engines out there will not want to
bother with viewing it. Folks, trust me on this one!
Using SEO – The Second Part
This second portion will be based on HTML code that you are using
on your web page. We are going to start talking about the top of
your page and working ourselves down.
Title Tag – What is a title
tag? It involves the title of your web page. The title you create
should be something that is eye catching and should contain your
main keyword. In fact, the main keyword you have decided upon
should be the first word in that title.
Description of Page – This
comes after the title tag. This is the area where many
individuals fail, so please pay close attention and take notes if
you need to. With this, you have two don’ts.
DO NOT Put This:
1. “Hi, welcome to my website”
Why not put this? Well, in the description part of your page, you
should put a description of your page. “Hi, welcome to my
website” certainly does not look like a description to me.
2. In the description, do not copy the
first paragraphs from your web page. If you’re not careful,
the default could do this automatically.
That description you create should be exactly what your webpage
is about. Also, it would not hurt to use your keywords in this
description. However, resist the temptation of stuffing those
keywords as this is a technique that does not go over well. In
fact, now that I think about it, stuffing those keywords will
only hurt you.
Inside the H1 tag, you should use the keyword phrase or keyword
one time at the very top.
Are you using pictures on your web page? If so, then make sure
you use the “alt” tag. This is also a good place for
you to put your keyword. Yes, the keyword should be related to
the picture that you have placed. The picture you place should
also be related to the website.
Structuring Your Website
That text on your website that is flashing looks really good,
doesn’t it? Yeah, I think so too, BUT those robots also
known as search engine spiders that crawl around on your website
does not like it. In fact, those spiders are not capable of
reading stuff such as java, php, etc. Why? Because they aren’t
able to understand it. This is why I told you to use “alt”
tag whenever you place something as simple as a picture on your
web page.

Popular?
Money…yes, money, does it ring a bell at all to you? How
about popularity, top of search engines and more visitors? You
will have more interest pointing in your direction. When you are
looking to pull traffic to your website, SEO is the main
ingredient.
How do Search Engines Work?
First, you need to learn that search engines are not humans.
Folks, they are far from being humans. Yes, we know this may be
obvious to everyone out there, but the way humans use the
Internet is different from the way search engines use them.
Unlike us humans, those search engines are being driven by text.
Yes, in this day and age, technology sure has advanced, but some
of those search engines out there are not the smartest critters
out there. Many of them are not able to feel the beauty of a
website and enjoy that cool video you have. Instead, they are
crawling the Internet looking for things that are in text format.
This is so that they can get a true understanding of what that
site is all about. Does this make sense to you?
Search engines perform a number of

4. They calculate the relevance

First, search engines crawl the web in order to see the good,
high quality content out there. This task is not being done by
humans, it is being done by that spider, or crawler or in the
case with Google, it is called the Googlebot. Spiders are
following those links from page to page. They will be indexing
everything they find. It is not possible for a spider to go to
your site each day in order to see that new page you just put up.
Sometimes, it could take a month or two in order for them to find
it. Wait for that day when that spider comes and you will be
rewarded, as long as you have followed the tricks in this book.

Google is the monster search engine of them all. It is not only
the biggest search engine on the Internet, but it is also the
best one out there. If you master all of the SEO methods for
Google search, then you will be in luck. There are a number of
different factors involves in this process. However, there is no
special formula that you will be able to utilize.
Sure, there may be a formula available, but there are chances of
Google changing it so that you cannot rely on it.

to make sure you check out their website before you follow
through with that request. As you are looking through that
website, look for repeated keywords, hidden text and any other
spam.
The Size of Your Web Page
We know, you probably want that size of your page to be really
huge, however, you need to take the speed of that page into
consideration as many visitors do not want to sit there waiting
for it to load. The robots from those search engines would also
like a smaller page so that they can search through it faster.
A good rule of the thumb would be to keep
the webpage over 5K but under 15K in size.

Page
Always use a robots.txt file right on your start page. You should

Save this file as robots.txt, then upload it to the root director
that is on your domain.

free to go to your website and crawl every single page you have
on there.
Do you have folders and other files that
have nothing to do with the content that is on there? If so, then
make sure you block it from those crawlers. You can disallow
those unrelated files by adding

Do You Have Videos on Your
Page?
If you have decided to put videos on your webpage, then you have
made a wonderful choice. There is no denying that other folks
like to see videos. However, you still need to make sure people
are able to find your page so that they can view those videos.
Make a video sitemap. What will this do? It will higher your
chances of the videos being found on the Internet by those
crawlers and spiders. When you make a video sitemap, make sure
you put it in your Google Webmaster Central account.
Submitting to Google
Search
If you plan on submitting to Google Search, which
would be a great idea, then you should follow this link:
http://www.google.com/addurl.html. From there, everything you
need to do is easy and self-explanatory.
As you are submitting the site, make sure
you only submit it one time. Many individuals submit it every two
weeks and there is no need to do this.
Reciprocal Linking
The web page you just found would really compliment the one you
have, so take the time to send them an e-mail and ask them if
they would be able to trade links with you. When you do this,
make sure you personalize the e-mail. If you do not personalize
those e-mails, then they could be mistaken as spam and be deleted
.
If you would like your e-mail about reciprocal
linking to be read, then you need to make sure you include the
following:
1. Mention two positive things that you like about their website.
By doing this, the webmaster is going to know that you are not
spam.
2. Include the directories to the web page that you would like to
have added to their web site.
3. When you add a link to their site, make sure you tell them the
Page Ranking.
There are websites available that will allow you to find partners
for reciprocal links that are in the same niche as you. Try
doing a Google search for the following:
1. Find Link Partners
2. Link Partner Finders
3. Themes Reciprocal Link Finder
4. Use Ezine, Ehow and Others to Draw Traffic
Believe it or not, by creating high quality articles and putting
them on sites such as Ezine, Ehow and any other article base, you
will be able to draw traffic. The articles you create should be
aimed at a specific category. If you have a website on gaming,
then you should obviously write your articles about gaming.
At the end of those articles, you need to include a resource box.
The resource box will contain information about the author (you)
as well as a link to your page. This resource box is your chance
to sell yourself, so make those individuals WANT to click that
link in order to get more information on what you are telling
them about. Also, in the resource box, you may want to use a
keyword one time, but do not spam. The resource box can be
anywhere from fifty to two hundred words long.

There are a number of different
reciprocal link programs that you will be capable of joining.
Those programs are there in order to help you find web site that

If you have a website, then you are not going to be able to
succeed unless you use those SEO tips we just gave you. You may
one to venture off and find some other SEO techniques, but make
sure they are good as there are many rumors going around the
Internet. Don’t put too many keywords, or you will be
penalized.
Search Engine Optimization has been around for a long time now
and it will continue to grow. Imagine how it will be in a couple
more years? I am sure there will be even more SEO tricks and
techniques you will be able to use. Also, keep in mind that the
top keyword will be changing from time to time. The top keyword
today may be melanoma, but the next day, it could be something
totally different.
